Capital District Public Schools

There are 43 public school districts in the Capital Region with more than 124,000 students enrolled. In addition to public school enrollment, over 15,000 students are enrolled in elementary and secondary nonpublic schools.

Capital District Colleges and Universities

One of the major attributes of the Capital Region is its collection of colleges and universities and the diversity of programs offered. The colleges are public and private, large and small, two-year, undergraduate and graduate, and traditional and non-traditional in their programs. Together, the eighteen colleges and universities have a total enrollment of almost 105,000 students who can chose from among some 750 degree options.
